From Evidence Based Birth
As your doula, I provide you with physical, emotional, informational, & advocacy support, suited to your unique needs & desires.
During our prenatal visits, my goal is to support you in feeling confident and clear in your options for labor and delivery. We get there through building an understanding of your vision, learning what's grounding to you, and exploring different labor comfort measures. In our postpartum visits, I'm there to support your rest and recovery, newborn care and bonding, and emotional processing of your birth experience.
I'll never make decisions for you-- but I will support you in feeling capable to ask the questions you need to feel strong about your yes's, maybe's, and no's. With a background in care work, from early childhood education to harm reduction to in-home support for people with disabilities, my approach is: trauma-informed, evidence-based, holistic, and culturally humble.
